I would like to thank the hard workers at U.S. Family Advocates! My ex husband was taking me back to court to get full custody of my son, but thanks to Steve and Sarah, he didn't succeed ! I WON! I was terrified to go to court without a lawyer but I just couldn't afford it. I was looking for help and found US FAMILY ADVOCATES! They were an answered prayer! I was scared to go to court without a lawyer at my side but I was well prepared and looked very professional. I will use them again in the future if need be. First of all, I am completely against divorce. I must say that at first, but I know that life happens to people sometimes and Divorce become the only avenue possible. In my case I have 2 small boys under the age of 6. With the assistance of the Team at US Family Advocates, I was actually able to get custody of my boys against all odds. My ex-wife had an attorney which served me divorce papers. I had several strikes against me, 1st of all I am the Father, and its much harder to get custody of the kids as the Father, rather than the Mother, 2nd of all, I was not the petitioner but the respondent, and thirdly I was going against an attorney on my own. My father found US Family Advocates online and I spoke with Steve Moonly, Rory Renk, and Mike Tregor. It gave me some hope when everyone around me told me to just let her have my boys and get the divorce over. I spoke with them and they truly did an amazing job. I hope that people won't need their assistance because that means you're going through a divorce, but in reality, that happens and they are the best out there at what they do!!! Every phone call was either answered or returned within 5 minutes. I did actually feel as though I was their only client, honestly!!! When the deadlines where short, they worked to get the job done. After speaking with my ex-wife's attorney, I truly believe that this team is exemplary. She even commented to me about how well I knew my "stuff," and that's because of this team. Also, when it comes to your kids, you will spend any amount of money to take care of them. I didn't have much to spend. I also know that what I spent vs. what my ex-wife spent on her attorney was amazing. This team really does walk you through everything you need to know. I couldn't have asked for a more smooth process through the family court system. The cost really is incredibly low, and I would recommend US Family Advocates to anyone who needs their services. Again, I am 100% against divorce, but I know life happens and the road you find yourself on isn't the road you thought you were taking. If you find yourself on this road, I definitely suggest US Family Advocates. You will not be sorry. I'm not saying I guarantee a victory, but I can guarantee this…What I wanted to say at the end of the day, is that I did all I could to get custody of my boys, that I could show them when they get older that Daddy tried the best he could to get custody of you. Now that is the Victory in my mind. Now it worked out beyond my expectations, I have custody of my boys and the process wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it would be. I would like to thank you and your agency for being as kind and helpful as you have been. A person in my position is on a fixed income; I solely support my child and receive no assistance from anyone else. Before consulting with US Family Advocates, I had interviewed more than six attorneys and paid over almost two thousand dollars in consultation fees. All had said that my case was hopeless unless I was willing to pay thousands in retainer fees (one attorney would not even look at my case unless I had $7,000) and extremely high hourly fees considering the sensitivity of my case. Attorneys are extremely expensive and sometimes replace their clients in the courtroom rather than represent them. I had honestly started losing faith as I saw that I wouldn't receive the assistance I needed as long as I did not have the money. It wasn't until my sister had forwarded me your website information that I was exposed to the agency. I admit I was a bit hesitant because of the fact that you are not based in New Jersey. But as my sister advised, I was past the choosing level and had to go with what would give me results and fast. I decided to give it a try. I honestly did not expect a response as quickly as I did. And I needed someone to understand that I only have the best intentions for my daughter. Through your assistance I will be able to let the justice system know that my daughter's life with her father is one that is unhealthy and unstable. My daughter will be best provided for under my sole care. I thank my sister endlessly for enduring the struggle with me but also for exposing me to a most wonderful agency that is willing to work with me in my case.
